Balhousie Care Group commissioned JPA to design a purpose built care home to their high specification in order to provide residents with a spacious, relaxing and comfortable environment. Project managed to completion we created 52 Care Inspectorate compliant bedrooms with en-suite facilities and all associated ancillary accommodation and services.

 

A highly insulated building envelope was created with the use of SIPS like panels along with solar and water saving technologies saves our Client on energy consumption whilst maintaining the high level of care required for residents. The home was designed with dementia friendly wings ensuring a simple layout with large areas of glazing to improve natural lighting levels and offer views for residents to enjoy over the landscape. Simple and decisive colour schemes were used to assist residents with moving around the home in compliance with dementia guidance.
